Galentine’s Day cocktails with Cointreau

Cointreau Summer Cocktails

Whether you’re single and ready to mingle this Valentine’s Day or in a happy, healthy relationship with your significant other, there’s plenty of reason to celebrate love. This year we’re going to be having a Cointreau-fuelled Galentine’s Day on Feb 14th, complete with cute movies, snacks and some summery cocktails up on Kristen’s (hopefully) sunny roof.

If you’re keen to make some yum cocktails too, here are three delicious recipes you can easily make at home, paired with three tasty snacks to nibble on.

Grilled Watermelon Margarita Cointreau

Strawberry Margarita Cointreau

Summer Margarita

A drink this fresh deserves to be complemented by an equally as fresh food pairing. Sip on this zesty strawberry margarita while sharing a plate of fresh oysters with your Valentine or Galentine, topped off with a squeeze of fresh lemon or some vinaigrette.

  • 50 mL Tequila
  • 20 mL Lime
  • 4 Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 Bar spoon of sugar syrup

Rim the glass with some salt. Combine Cointreau, tequila, lime and strawberries in a shaker with ice. Muddle it, shake it and strain it. Garnish with a mint sprig on the top of your glass to bring some freshness.
