Imagine a caramel milkshake, but better – because there’s vodka in it. That’s the majesty of the Salted Caramel Martini from Spaghetti Western, which we tried at their recent cocktail launch.
This three-story King William St venue is the perfect location for afterwork drinks, as the funky bar below the restaurant offers all kinds of fun cocktail creations and delicious nibbles. As well as the Salted Caramel Martini, other delicious cocktails on offer include an Espresso Martini, made with spiced rum, coffee liqueur and Lavazza coffee syrup, and the timeless Negroni, an Italian staple.
For groups, carafes of Peach Bellini and Aperol Spritz are available of $20, as are kettles of IPA. A bucket of 20 beef and veal meatballs, topped with tomato sugo, parmesan and bread crumbs will keep the troops satisfied too, and at only $30 they’re a steal.
If there’s one dish we could recommend though, it’s the fried ravioli. Dense pillows of meaty pasta are deep fried to give them a crunchy, chewy texture that will have you licking the bowl before you know it.
