Photo Diary: Staying at Aria Apartments for MFW 17

During the second half of Melbourne Fashion Week, we had the pleasure of relaxing in a most luxurious suite at Aria Apartments in Southbank, Melbourne. As you would have seen all over our socials, our room was totally extra consisting of a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom type situation. The room also occupied a gigantic living and kitchen space, featuring an enclosed corner balcony and ceiling-to-floor windows with round views of Melbourne’s photogenic CBD.

This newly re-branded apartment block is catering to all kinds of visitors, offering both short-stay hotel apartments and long-stay apartment packages. While we only stayed two-nights in our lush suite, we could definitely imagine making ourselves at home in that room. It had Wolf of Wall Street kinda party vibes which we simply loved, especially with the Crown Casino staring us down in plain sight of the living room!

Aria have dedicated their re-brand to delivering an experience that reaches beyond aesthetics. With the aim of showcasing the best of what Melbourne has to offer, the Aria team have collected art from various local artists to decorate the interior, including work from RMIT graduate Kirsten Jackson, Melbourne-based artist Alexandra Ethell, photographer Jeremiah Locke and many more.

The team at Aria also assist guests who are embarking on a path of discovery while in Melbourne, pinpointing surrounding favourites and offering a little pamphlet offered to each guest upon their stay. Among the diverse list of favourites is cafe and roasting business St. AliBellota Wine Bar, art gallery Melbournestyle, Vietnamese restaurant Wat Da Pho, dessert boutique Bibelot and so many more. According to Aria: ‘Our city and our favourites – become yours.

Our photo diary below tells a story of our experience with Aria: champagne, breathtaking views, art, fashion (thanks Georgy Collection, Aus Fashion Labels and Style Secret Handbag Hire) and pure relaxation.
