Photo Diary: Our Sister’s Wardrobe’s got the new season goods

While online fashion powerhouses such as Pretty LittleThingMissguided and MissPap will always have us coming back for more, we’ve recently been discovering smaller/home-run fashion sites that we simply adore. Hello, Our Sister’s Wardrobe!

As the name suggests, this boutique fashion website is keeping things in the family, with two fashionable and passionate sisters running the project together out of Hoddesdon. We met sisters Abi and Rebekah at a fashion show during London Fashion Week and basically got bonding over all things fashion. When asked to collaborate, we jumped at the chance to style some of their gorgeous range!

Upon receiving our OSW parcel, the first thing we noticed upon unpacking was the luxurious feel of the garments’ fabrics. Despite being quite an affordable online boutique, with prices mostly ranging between £10 and £50 (steal, amirite?!), the clothes felt as though they were worth much more. Our particular outfits were made in France, using materials that draped totally elegantly on the figure. We know it can be quite hit and miss for quality with online boutiques, especially when it’s the smaller uncovered ones, however OSW was a definite HIT.

Mel was over the moon about her OSW outfit choices, and could not have been more happy with the way they fit. Having a figure that is sometimes hard to shop for online, she couldn’t believe that she got the perfect items for her, first go. This collaboration definitely swayed her towards online shopping, as before she would solely visit brick and mortar stores so that she could try things on before purchase.

The ‘Olivia Two Piece’ absolutely stole her heart, coming in a luxe salmon pink hue and made of a soft, non-crease material that flowed effortlessly with movement. The co-ord set features high waisted trousers with high side splits and a wide leg, as well as a lush wrap around crop top with button up puff sleeves. Being a co-ord queen this season, she also laid her eyes upon the matching ‘Anna Black Pearl Suit Set’. A tailored blazer and slim leg trousers combine together to create the ultimate corporate-chic combo. Mel has worn this look practically everywhere, from work to play, and likes to style the blazer as a top on its own (braless) with a belt to cinch in the waist.

Kristen loves a bit of colour in her life right now, so the ‘Esme Emerald Suit Set’ is right up her alley. Featuring a gorgeous relaxed blazer with three-quarter sleeves and pearl button detailing, it’s paired with a high-waisted trousers that have a flattering waist tie, creating a great summer outfit. The great thing about a two-piece is that you can easily wear them separately too, like dressing the blazer down with some jeans or wearing a black top tucked into the trousers. Thigh-high boots are also an essential when living in London, and the ‘Melrose Fur Trim Jumper Dress’ makes a great outfit when paired with boots. The feather detailing and embellishments on the sleeves add a touch of style to this jumper dress, making it great for parties and casual events alike.
