Protecting our lips with Naked Sundays new SPF lip oils

Naked Sundays SPF50+ Lip Oil

As we get older, SPF has become a huge part of our lives. Prevention is the best cure for anti-ageing, so we’re slip slop slapping every day and not missing any spot exposed to the sun. One area everyone tends to forget about is your lips – they need a little sun protection too! Just in time for spring (and my ski trip), Naked Sundays have released a trio of lip oils that offer SPF50+ protection, perfect for keeping your lips plump and sun-safe whenever you’re outside.

Juiced up with raspberry seed oil, watermelon extract and tomato extract, these lip oils are packed with vitamins E, C and K, so they’re as good for you as they are glossy. The oil-based formula means they’re less sticky than lip gloss too, letting your lips shine without getting all your hair stuck on them.

The Naked Sundays lip oils come in three different shades – coconut, which is your versatile clear shade, salted caramel, a very 90s shade of warm brown, and a pretty raspberry shade to give your lips a hint of pink.

We received these lip oils to try out just before I left for my ski trip, so of course, I had to test them out on the snow. I was literally addicted to the coconut lip oil, my skin ended up getting so dry after a week of skiing with icy winds so I was religiously applying the product to save some kind of moisture in my lips. These are definitely going to be on high rotation in my bag this summer, perfect for sunny beach days when I’m not wearing any makeup but want to give my lips a little sun-friendly pop.

As well as working to prevent ageing, SPF is also handy for protecting any dermal filler. Excess sun exposure can dissolve filler faster, so slap on that lip SPF to protect those juicy lips!

You can pick up all the Naked Sundays products online or in-store at Mecca.
