Slides are a staple summer shoe. Not only are they cute, comfortable, and totally on-trend for 2021, they also style with endless versatility. Having reemerged a number of times over the past few years, we’re back at it and loving slides all over again this season.
A pair of slides can be so simple and sleek, yet they can also be chunky and statement. We just so happened to try a mixture of both with our latest Sandler shoe haul. Chances are you will have seen previous posts about our love affair with Sandler shoes. This beloved Aussie brand has been our go-to for years, providing footwear that is fashionable, practical, and, most importantly, quality-made. Seriously, our Sandler shoes have lasted us years upon years… despite how rough we can be with our shoes!
Our first picks are a couple of chic heeled slides, the Madrid Heel and Marilyn Heel. Both of these designs are a more upstyled design of slide, offering a crisp white hue that complements a fresh tan perfectly. They rock a stylish kitten heel and trending strappy finish.
Mel styles the Madrid Heel with a burnt orange mini dress for a glam resort vibe. Complete with statement earrings and a structural mini handbag, this look is 100% cocktail ready. Kristen’s look is also giving us luxe resortwear vibes, teaming a frilled crop top with wide leg trousers and a white handbag to match with the Marilyn Heel.
For our next picks, we opted for a couple of chunky styles from the Ravella range. We’re seeing this chunky slide trend everywhere this summer, so we had to hop on board ourselves! Kristen chose the Ginny Slide which features a thick black sole and double white straps. She styles this fashion-forward pair with bold-hued shorts and a crop top for a fun, casual finish. Mel opted for the Gossip Slide which features woven strapping for added texture. She styles this versatile black pair with a colourful 70’s-esque mini dress.
