The block heel edit with Sandler

It’s no secret we’ll choose a block heel over a stiletto almost every time. While we love the sleek look of a stiletto, they’re not particularly practical it comes to our busy lifestyles. We’re constantly running from the gym, to work, to sometimes even two or three events in one night! That kind of activity calls for a strong, sturdy yet stylish block heel.

For our latest collaboration with Sandler, we decided to choose a pair of block heels each. Perfect for work or play, the selection on Sandler features all kinds of trendy styles. Think everything from classic pointed toe pumps for the office and heeled mules, to strappy styles and wood-stacked designs for the summertime.

As you may have read about in previous blog posts, Sandler is home to a group of fashion-savvy brands. We chose a pair from Sandler, the original label, and Jane Debster, a high-end footwear brand inspired by luxury European craftmanship.

Mel chose the Kara Heel from Sandler, opting for the nude leather finish. This pair features a 7cm heel, pointed toe, and quality leather upper. Thanks to the cross straps and heel coverage, your foot feels extra strapped in, making it the perfect pair of heels for AM to PM wear. Its block heel is actually slightly flared, which gives the look quite a contemporary vibe. The nude hue goes with practically everything, too!

Mel styled it with an all-black outfit consisting of a peplum Cue blazer and skinny jeans from Nobody Denim. This ensemble is slimming, sleek and super corporate-chic. The nude hue breaks it up a bit, and the pointed toe works effortlessly alongside the skinny jean to elongate the legs.

Dubbed “this season’s most coveted pump” according to Sandler, the Chapter Heel by Jane Debster is a designer-inspired beauty. Drawing inspiration from the classic Chanel colourblock pump, it features an adjustable sling back and 6cm heel. It’s the perfect touch of class to any outfit.

Keeping with the neutral tones, Kristen styled her pumps with a beige and white cardigan, complemented by a super cute white pleat mini skirt. It’s giving us winter tennis chic vibes! We can imagine this outfit as a playful brunch look, and the Chapter Heel gives it an upstyled finish.
