The Gully Public House and Garden not only have an amazing beer garden, but they host a whole heap of interesting events for food and drink lovers to enjoy.
Recently they played host to a cocktail masterclass centred around Bacardi. Guests learnt how to make five rum based cocktails under the guidance of Bacardi rep Froilan Lacar. Each person had their own space full of bar tools, mixers and spirits, so everyone could follow the steps given by Friolan.
Bacardi is the world’s number one selling rum, and each of the cocktails created had an amazing backstory that originated from using Bacardi rum back in its hometown of Cuba. The five cocktails created were Cuba Libre, El Pasaporte, Mojito, Daquiri and a Rum Old Fashioned.
As well as creating and drinking their own cocktails, guests were also treated to some amazing canapés from The Gully’s kitchen. There’s nothing like drinking a fresh Daquiri while gorging on crispy pork belly, sliders, fried chicken and fries!
For those of you that missed out, The Gully kindly sent us a recipe card for all the cocktails which we’ve displayed below.
If you’re interested in trying your hand at creating some delicious drinks, The Gully will be hosting a Bombay Sapphire Cocktail Class on October the 28th. Check out there site for details and more exciting events!
