Goodness Me was sprung from founder Peta’s personal struggles with an autoimmune disease that left her bedbound for months. After switching her diet to one full of natural wholefoods, she was able to take control of her health and go back to living a relatively normal life. Inspired by her new nourishing lifestyle, she set about creating Goodness Me to share her favourite health practitioner-approved treats with the rest of us Aussies.
So, what’s in the box? Each month you get a carefully curated selection of different products, tried and tested by the Goodness Me team. They’ve sampled products from over 800 brands, so you can rest assured that they only send the best out in their beloved boxes each month.
We were sent the February and March boxes to test out, and we have to say, we love them. It’s really fun opening up a box of surprise treats that you can eat without feeling guilty, and try things you’ve never had before.
We love anything Macro Mike, a 100% natural, GMO-free brand that has a delicious range of plant-based protein bars and refined-sugar-free baking mixes (maple cinnamon protein donuts, anyone?). We were super happy to see a protein bar included in each box – if you haven’t tried Macro Mike yet, get on it.
Another highlight in the box for us was the Koala Eco Fruit & Veg Wash, a gentle wash designed to remove pesticides, oils, waxes and agricultural chemicals from your fresh produce. We know it’s better to leave the skin on your fruit and veg when eating it (it contains loads of incredible nutrients), but we were always a bit hesitant due to all the nasties that can be used in the growing process. We’ve been using this wash though and we feel much more confident leaving all the peels on knowing we’ve given them a good scrub with this first.
Our third fave pick from the box is the Nexba Apple Cider Vinegar. We love Nexba’s kombucha, we attended a really fun event in London when they first launched in UK supermarkets and learned all about their unique probiotics and sweetener blend. This is one of their newest beverages that we haven’t tried yet, combining a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in with probiotics and giving it a tasty watermelon and raspberry flavour. Delish.
