Your new favourite way to get around the CBD

There’s no doubt you’ve seen these guys pedalling around the streets of Adelaide’s CBD. EcoCaddies are a super easy and environmentally-friendly form of public transport around the city, not to mention a whole lot of fun.

While EcoCaddy provides compelling advertising opportunities too, their primary focus is on giving people a quick and eco-friendly way to get from one point into the city to another, and that service has just been made easier for us with the launch of a brand new app.

The EcoCaddy EcoHail App is a free app that can be downloaded onto Apple and Android devices and, by just one press of the big blue “Hail” button, you’ll have a ride in no time.

“EcoCaddy is all about moving people,” says EcoCaddy rider, Erick Watson, “The new EcoHail App will make it easier for people to find an EcoCaddy and move around the city in a quick and cheap way.”

$5 a ride!

EcoCaddy charge an affordable flat-fare of $5 to get you from terrace to terrace and an extra $5 to get you to North Adelaide. Never exceeding $10 a trip, it’s 100% our new favourite way to get around.

For the trip too far to walk and too short to cab.

In celebrating the launch of the EcoHail App, the guys from EcoCaddy hosted a gig last Saturday, bringing in local talents Ollie English, Izzy Jane, Banjo Weatherald and The Axe & The Ivory as headliners.

A selection of refreshing beverages by Pirate Life Brewing & Penny’s Hill were available to purchase and bites were provided by the organic Cafe Troppo, including delicious kangaroo sliders filled with beetroot and onion jam and mushroom sliders topped with a tasty blue cheese sauce.

In between acts, we got the chance to chat with EcoCaddy founder Daniels Langeberg about the new app, who gave us a quick demonstration on how quick and easy the app was to use on our phones. We certainly look forward to seeing more from these guys.
