†SHANNON NOLL† – the man, the myth, the Aussie legend took the stage at Fat Controller last night and boy oh boy, was it an incredible show. While majority of us felt as if we were ‘robbed’ after finding out Nollsie would only be performing a DJ set on the night, to our rescue, he took the stage and belted out a handful of his iconic tunes plus many more.
While thousands of us Aussies (myself included) have rowdily expressed that the singer-songwriter was robbed of the Australian Idol title back in 2003, the man himself even had a few light hearted and cheeky words to say about it….
“I always come second, just ask my wife.”

With a jammed-packed basement singing along to Lift, Shine and the tune from where it all began – What About Me, this was by far one of the most memorable Thursday nights I have ever had. My SnapChat and my voice this morning can vouch for me.
Appearing on stage for just over forty-five minutes, Shannon Noll’s DJ appearance was a show I’ll be reliving in my mind for a while. Sculling beers on stage, taking thousands of selfies with screaming fan girls and even showing off his southern cross tattoo while preaching some inspiring words, why would you have wanted to spend the night any other way?!
