Did someone say Jose Cuervo bottomless brunch? Dabbers certainly did, so recently we went along to their East London location one Sunday for booze, bacon and bingo.
The doors open at 12 and with the bingo extravaganza starting at 1:30, so we got there around 12:30 to make sure we had plenty of time to eat brunch before it started. You can, of course, eat throughout the show, but you also run the risk of maybe missing a number or two. With prizes like giant prosecco glasses, gin and tonic cupcake kits and lucky cats, we didn’t want to risk losing the game to a missed number.
For brunch, they had a special Jose Cuervo menu that included Tradicional tequila-cured salmon with avocado crush and toasted tortilla, as well as Tradicional tequila-roasted ‘Bloody Mary’ tomatoes with sourdough toast. We, of course, had to try these, which were a light and refreshing start to the brunch and and eased us into the tequila-drinking spirit of the day. We also split The Big Dab burger, with ½ pound of Prime Angus Steak, tomato, onion, lettuce, pickles and burger sauce in a brioche bun, and some halloumi fries. Because, of course.
After we devoured all this, of course, it was time to order a jug of Jose Cuervo Bloody Mary and get ready for bingo. If you’ve ever been to a Dabber’s Bingo event before you’d know there’s so much more to this than just playing the game, and if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat. The bingo game is hosted by a fabulous singing and dancing Queen, accompanied by a three-piece band (who also sing). There are fun games, singalongs, comedy and plenty of audience interaction, so get ready to lipsync for your (bingo) lives, and may the best woman/man win.
Dabbers will be hosting their Wild Brunch Bingo every Sunday. We’d recommend making a booking as it can get quite busy (and rowdy), and if you book a booth for five you get a bottle of prosecco.
