Laneway relaunches with a gin-teresting twist…

Pardon the pun, we’re just super excited about gin.

Everyone’s favourite Hindley Street hideaway, Laneway Bar, launched their anticipated fourth installment last week with a new and exciting feature – a gin-credible gin garden.

Expected to be the biggest and best gin garden in Adelaide, Laneway IV is making its mark on the ever-growing small bar scene in the West End. It is set to offer twelve boutique gins paired with unique condiments including the likes of gin and tonic infusions as well as signature cocktails such as ‘Laneway’s Garden.’

We got the chance to sample some of Laneway IV’s cocktails and infusions on offer at the official launch party, as well as some uber quirky, seafood-themed canapes and gin shots.

Some of our favourite refreshments included the gin and tonic jelly shots, cut to a triangular shape and mini cream salmon cones with chives.

During summer, Laneway IV will become the place to party on those balmy nights courtesy of its outdoor setting and unique gin garden.

The gin and tonic infused oyster shooters looked like something out of a science lab, but were surprisingly delicious despite their unappealing exterior. After downing five of these strange concoctions in a row, we were certain Laneway IV had won our hearts.

Thanks to local architects, Studio-gram, the rennovations have been redone in a geometric style, with a pastel-coloured patterned mural covering the wall and striped monochromatic barriers surrounding the balcony. To suit the design, Laneway IV hired two models for the launch, painted in coloured shapes and blending into the walls like something out of Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know.’

Laneway Owner, Antony Tropeano, says, “The refreshed new look of Laneway IV will feel like you’ve entered the ultimate outdoor garden party, with a big focus on gin… Laneway IV will be known as THE place to get a delicious gin infused beverage.”
