It’s never been more important for companies to start taking responsibility for their environmental footprint, so we love to see Covergirl celebrating Earth Month with some great initiatives. The limited-edition Earth Day collection sees some of their best-selling vegan products repackaged in a new, eco-friendly way, including the Clean Fresh Pressed Powder and Lash Blast Clean Volume Mascara.
Covergirl’s eco-friendly packaging is made from FSC-certified card crafted from 80% recycled paper from well-managed forests, making it sustainable and renewable.
We’ve both used and loved the products in the vegan range before. The Clean Fresh Pressed Powder is a staple in our makeup bags for on-the-go touch-ups, perfect for absorbing oil and hiding pores. It’s lightweight and perfect for sensitive skin, made without any nasties like talc, parabens and sulfates to name a few.
The Lash Blast Clean Volume Mascara boasts a smudge-proof formula that’s infused with argan and marula oils, helping leave your lashes nourished and conditioned. Like everything else in the Covergirl vegan range, it’s made without parabens, sulfates, talc and mineral oil so it’s perfect for people who can be a bit sensitive to makeup products.
The Earth Day range also features four limited-edition shades of Covergirl’s Clean Fresh Tinted Lip Balm. Infused with hyaluronic complex and pomegranate oil, the balms lock in moisture for up 24 hours. We’ve been loving the shade Beneath Cherry Blossoms, giving our lips a natural-looking pink tint.
Covergirl also kindly donated $100 on behalf of each of us to earthday.org! Such a thoughtful gesture which we both really appreciate. Everything we were sent came in sustainable, recycling packaging as well, from the FSC-certified, element chlorine-free paper tote to the home-compostable Heropack shipping mailer. Even the paper the media release was written on is made from seed paper, meaning we can plant it in our gardens and little Swan River daisies will grow.
