Edeline Lee creates a SS19 collection for the future woman

Held at The Strand, Edeline Lee presented her Spring Summer 2019 collection with a performance piece that was inspired by the lives that contemporary women lead.

Moving between classic fashion moments like a red carpet arrival, a runway show and an afterparty, the piece saw dancers and models move together to bring each scene to life, all while wearing new pieces from the collection.

The colour palette was muted with pops of wearable colour coming through; think scarlet, ivory, bottle green and mustard. The fabrics varied from the label’s signature Flou Bubble Jacquard to a more flowing georgette, in both a heavyweight and a crinkle, while stripes and zigzags made an appearance as the collection’s main patterns. Large buttons and buckles accent some of the pieces, creating an effortlessly stylish collection that’s can just as easily be worn at the office as it can be for evening events and meetings with friends.

One of our favourite pieces was a white midi skirt characterised by front buttons and a large waist belt with a sky blue buckle. Another standout piece for us was a white dress with long sleeves and green ruffles placed carefully around the body, hem and sleeves.
