The Fix is here to introduce your cycle to science

The Fix Vitamins

It’s 2022, and yet so many people are still afraid to talk about their period. I went to an all-girls high school so I’ve always been very open and comfortable talking about my period, yet when I do I sometimes get people looking at me like it’s something I shouldn’t be talking about. It’s time to stick it to the stigma around periods and start not just talking about them more, but sharing ways we can make them more bearable. Like The Fix.

Proudly Australia’s first-ever period supplement company, The Fix has developed a range of period supplements designed to target and alleviate specific period symptoms many people experience. Think vitamin formulas intended to reduce bloating and ease cramps, balance mood swings and calm breakouts.

The Fix worked with leading Australian chemists to create what they believed to be the most effective and evidence-based solutions, certified by the TGA, vegan, GMO and gluten-free. Plus, everything’s made right here in Australia.

Two products that really stood out to me were X-All and X-Bloat, the first being a daily multivitamin and the other an anti-bloat. I was lucky enough to be gifted them to try out, and while I’ve only just started taking them, I’ll tell you what made me reach for these two products.

Like most 20-somethings these days I’m juggling so many things – work, a side hustle, friends, family, social events, exercise, travel – the list goes on. I definitely don’t have the time to take care of my body as much as I should, and taking a daily multivitamin is something that’s been on my mind for a while. The Fix’s X-All has been designed to relieve symptoms of premenstrual tension, as well as generally support your body with stress response, a healthy immune system, energy production, and just overall wellness.

X-Bloat is designed to be used 5-7 days leading up to and then throughout your period to help ease bloating. It uses milk thistle, turmeric and fennel which are used in herbal medicine as natural anti-bloat agents. Bloating is probably my biggest and most hated menstrual symptom. While I can get moody and have period cramps, they usually only last a day or so, while I can go up an entire size around my stomach for the entire duration of my period due to the bloating. I’m super excited to give these a go next time I have my period and see if they work some magic!
