Spring racing season is upon us and we have an exciting prize to give away! The winner of our competition will receive two passes to the glamorous Festival Gardens precinct at Morphettville on Derby Day, as well as a stylish Katya Komarova headpiece. The runner up will also receive a Katya Komarova headpiece to wear to all the races she attends this season!

Make sure you’re following @theadelaidian, @morphettville_racecourse and @katyakomarovaofficial to be eligible to win. The winner will be randomly selected Wednesday the 26th of October, and you can enter as many times as you like.

Oaks Day
Traditionally a day of pastels, if you’re like Mel and don’t like wearing anything floral and pink you can opt for a feminine cut, monochrome dress. Kristen however loved this floral Liza Emanuele dress, which went perfectly with her lace Katya Komarova headpiece.

This is the time to bring out your craziest and most colourful race wear! The sleekest and sophisticated of the Spring Racing Carnival events, Derby Day is when racegoers get to whip out their sharpest black and white gear. This monochrome day is anything but boring however, with the simple colour theme allowing people to play around with textures, silhouette and structure, like these Something Borrowed dresses that are anything but simple. Another massive millinery trend this season is flower headpieces, and we’ve chosen two unique floral pieces from Sylvy Earl to tie together our outfits.
